Who is Liz?

I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Lizzy, and I’m the founder of Alive With Liz. I’m a Minnesota native, a Christ-follower, a matcha enthusiast, and a deep-thinker. I’m passionate about holistic, “crunchy” living, slowing down, living authentically, and helping others step into their fullest potential.

I’ve had a bumpy journey marked by loneliness, mental health struggles, and constant busyness. It’s through this journey that I’ve come to deeply value slowing down, receiving Jesus’ love, and creating space for authentic community and healing.

I feel most fully alive when I’m living slowly, receiving Jesus’ love, sipping a matcha latte, spending time with others, singing or listening to music, being in nature, and playing sports.

I hold a BA in Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship from Benedictine College. My background in Christian ministry, marketing, and entrepreneurship uniquely shapes and fuels the mission of Alive With Liz.

I’m so excited to see how this space grows and unfolds. You’re not alone — let’s live for Eternity!

How it Began

Lizzy, the founder of Alive With Liz, has walked through many seasons of deep pain, loneliness, and ache thinking: Maybe I’m going crazy? Maybe I’m wounded more than most people? But through sharing her struggles, she realized that many people are feeling “half-alive,” stressed, unsatisfied, and longing to live differently. She asked herself: How can we live fully alive?

Bringing her aches to Jesus in prayer, Lizzy discovered that receiving Jesus’ Love is the foundation to living alive. It also includes the things that uniquely make each of us come alive as well as the food we eat, the way we live, etc. However, to receive Jesus’ Love and to know what uniquely makes us come alive, we need to slow down. This is where the idea for Home of Leisure was born, a sister mission to Alive With Liz.

With a background in Christian ministry, marketing, and entrepreneurship, Lizzy desired to start a ministry-focused business. She also loves matcha and dreamed of creating her own matcha brand. On June 27, the Feast of the Sacred Heart (a major Catholic observance of Jesus’ Love), she received inspiration from Jesus to combine these dreams: a matcha brand woven into a broader mission to help people live fully alive. This is how Alive With Liz was born.

After briefly working at a financial organization to gain experience and invest in her business, Lizzy felt called to leave and pursue her entrepreneurial calling full-time. Please pray and support us financially if you can as we begin this journey.

Alive With Liz’s Values

  • Alive With Liz is rooted in loving the person, willing one’s good, and guiding others to encounter Love itself: Jesus.

  • After Love, leisure is the foundation of Alive With Liz. All ideas and inspiration comes from a leisurely disposition. We want this all to be for the person as leisure is, not for productivity but to be human and to live.

  • We are about the person. Not what they can do for us but by being themselves. We are focused on reverencing the person while cultivating community as isolation is one of the biggest issue in our day.

  • With A.I. on the rise, authenticity is dying, but this is what we crave for. Real, honest people sharing the hards and lows. We are committed to this because life is not easy but it is beautiful.

  • Collaboration is a key part of Alive With Liz because we desire to bring people and communities together, helping them live fully alive, so we can spread the Love and Hope of Christ to the ends of the earth. We believe that by partnering with other individuals, companies, and ministries, we can make this mission a reality. So one day, we can all be united in joyous communion together in Heaven.

  • Integration is a big stepping stone on this journey. We hope to help you bring together your fragments and pieces into Jesus’ love and light, so you can learn to live fully alive.
